Founding Partner, Instructor

My mission is to empower individuals in their pursuit of optimal fitness and wellness through the integration of Pilates and other movement methods

  • During my time as a graduate student in New York City, I discovered the incredible benefits of Gyro and Pilates. Teaching movement to clients from all walks of life became a passion of mine, alongside my full-time studies. Throughout my journey, I was fortunate enough to work with a variety of clients at physical therapy clinics, boutique fitness studios, and large gyms, which allowed me to gain invaluable experience. I particularly enjoyed working with clients who had chronic injuries, scoliosis, hyper-mobility and those who were pregnant or postpartum. Seeing my clients recognize newfound strength, move with better alignment, and discover their true capabilities brings me immense joy.

Instructor

Health and fitness is my passion. My mission is to encourage others to seek Pilates as a foundation to getting stronger both physically and mentally

  • I grew up playing sports, and basketball in college - being active has always been an essential part of me. I discovered mat Pilates in 2020 when forced to slow down, and made mind/muscle connections I hadn’t before. I joined a reformer studio in Michigan, where I am from, and knew instantly teaching Pilates was something I needed to do. I enjoy teaching an athletic, but intentional flow to my clients. Helping them discover new levels of strength, mobility, and true alignment.

Maura Naughton

Instructor

  • Maura fell in love with Pilates while healing multiple injuries at the beginning of her professional dance career. Initially and still quite drawn to the intentionality of the practice and accessibility of the exercises through modifications/variations, she is grateful to a consistent practice which has given her increased stability and organization (posture) living in a hypermobile body, strength and ease beyond any other form of training. Movement is a transformational agent in her life and she believes in the psychosomatic benefits of daily movement. It is an honor to work with clients through Pilates.

Maura is a lifelong dancer and dance instructor teaching pre-professional dancers in the Chicagoland area. Maura has 2 cats who are constantly inspiring her with their embodiment, curiosities, ease and heartfelt communication. Maura has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dance Performance and completed a 450-hour Comprehensive training program through Pilates Sports Center at Amplified Pilates.

Paula Palmer

Instructor

  • As a Pilates Method Alliance-certified Pilates instructor, Paula has over 10 years of experience training clients using the Pilates method. Paula specializes in working with post rehabilitation clients who need to improve joint function, increase strength, as well as improve balance and coordination.

Paula first began practicing Pilates in 2003 to improve muscle tone. However, she quickly fell in love with the way she felt after a Pilates session, invigorated and light, as though weight had been lifted off of her joints!

She credits Pilates with teaching her how to use her newly found muscles more efficiently in everyday life, such as bending, and squatting without pain and with renewed vigor.

Paula enjoys sharing her practice with others in hopes that they will enjoy the many revitalizing benefits of Pilates for years to come.
